Card Player Poker Tour Venetian: Day 1C Draws Huge Field$5,000 Buy-In Main Event Surpasses $2 Million Guarantee With 435 Entries And Counting |

Although day 1A only drew 42 entries, and day 1B only got 91, the Card Player Poker Tour Venetian main event was able to easily surpass the $2 million guarantee Tuesday night when a whopping 302 players showed up for day 1C.
The field count now sits at 435, but players can still get into the $5,000 buy-in event for the first two levels on day 2. Furthermore, anyone who is eliminated before the end of level 10 can re-enter the tournament.
After eight levels on day 1C, it was Davis Aalvik who bagged up with the chip lead and a stack of 197,500. His brother, Hayden Aalvik, also had a good day, finishing with 113,300. Other notables with big stacks included Iaron Lightbourne (188,000), Chance Kornuth (139,600), Kyle Bowker (138,900), Tim Burt (116,500), Erick Lindgren (115,000), Dan Heimiller (112,000) and Mike Matusow (99,600).
All of those players will be chasing overall tournament leader Tommy Chen, who bagged up with 213,700 after playing day 1A.
