2022 World Series of Poker Main Event Draws 8,663 EntriesJul 09, 2022The numbers are in for the 2022 World Series of Poker $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event. A grand total of 8,663 entries were made by the time registration closed, making this year’s world championship the second-largest in main event history. Only the 2006 WSOP main event drew more players, with 8,773 entries. The huge turnout resulted in a prize pool of nearly $80.8 million dollars, which will be split up amongst the top 1,300 finishers. A min-cash will be worth $15,000, while the eventual champion is set to walk away with $10,000,000, in addition to this: the redesigned WSOP main event championship bracelet. The top 80 finishers will earn six-figure scores this year, with the top eight securing seven figures or more. The final five will all be multi-millionaires thanks to their deep runs in this event. To find out who eventually walks away with the largest chunks of this massive prize pool, make sure to keep it locked right here on CardPlayer.com. |
