…but not good enough once again. I have cashed 3 tourneys this year at the WSOP now and they are all $1500 NL…8th, 182nd in the previous two…this one I made another Day 3 and was 28/34 to start the day with about 15 BB. I was lucky enough to win a flip against Tim “tmay420” West on the second hand of Day 3 when I shoved AT and he had 77. I felt really good after I doubled and had a shot, however I didn’t find any real good spots as there were alot of short stacks shoving early…and before I knew it, we were redrawing w 27 left. I lost an orbit or two of blinds and antes and then when it folded to me on the button I had AhTh w effective stacks of 15-18 BB I shoved and the short stack sb woke up w AcKc and held for a 150k pot leaving me down to around 350k at 10k/20k. Next hand I was able to play was 77 UTG+1 where I shoved and didn’t get any action…very next hand I shove 16 BB UTG w KsQh and got called from a big stack in middle position w TT and I got zero help on this race…so I busted in 20th for $20k…Obviously dissapointed, however I played my best and that’s all I could do.

This whole week has been fun. My fiance Kristen flew in on Tuesday and the rest of her bachelorette party came in wed/thur. Wednesday was the NHL Awards show and we had a great time there…its fun seeing all the NHL guys at the pool the day of the show and walking around after and just talking to everyone. We had dinner at Jean Georges steakhouse Thursday night w all the girls as well as Jason Young and Jena…the food was amazing…I highly recommend the filet there…really nice place at the brand new Aria…which is also really nice. Friday was the first tourney I was playing while they were all here and thats the one I ended up playing all wknd…but I did get to join everyone at ghostbar Friday night and although I was the only sober one, we had a great time. I would mention everyone that was there, but it was alot of people so I’ll move on.

Sunday was Day 3…Kristen watched for a while…and then Jason sent Jena and Kristen to the spa for a little…and I busted the tourney while they were there so we headed back to get ready to go out…Jena got sick in the meantime so it was just me and Kristen…I got to show her some casinos that she hasn’t been to yet and we had fun playing some slot machines including the no reel-deal or no deal game which is my new addiction! We had a blast and made some good $ so we were happy…Kristen flew back to Pittsburgh yesterday so I hung out for a little and skipped the $1500.

Onto today…I had to skip the $3k triple chance because I am so ready for tomorrow…I have played a $15k and a few $10ks and alot of $5ks so far..but never a $25k…but it is a 6max…and that is definately a strength of mine. I can not wait for this one…there is probably going to be zero good table draws…a ton of the best players in the world…but a small field with a great structure and I can’t wait to make a run! I am just getting some things done today and relaxing. I will be playing the $25k tomorrow…and the main event on day 1b. Not many bracelet shots left!
