Dead money is the name of the game at Bodog, lately. While the Bodog $100,000-guaranteed tournament avoided an overlay for the first time ever this weekend, the $70,000-guaranteed tournaments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays still have huge overlays. Tuesday's tournament had 1,051 entrants pay the $50 buy-in to bring the player-generated prize pool up to $52,550, meaning Bodog came out of pocket for $17,650.

It seems the Internet pros have caught on to the value of the tournament, as online poker sensation Ari Engel (whose screen name is, simply, "ari") made the Tuesday $70,000-guaranteed tournament's final table. In fact, not only did ari make the final table, he came into the first full hand of the final table in second place with $479,000 in chips, compared to sportsmoney's $560,000 in first. Ari briefly took the chip lead before shrinking back down to second. Then, one huge pot changed his tournament's fortunes.

Sportsmoney raised to $60,000 from mid-position with the big blind at $20,000 and ari called from the small blind. The flop came Qheart Jspade 7diamond and ari checked. Sportsmoney bet $70,000 and ari raised to $210,000. Sportsmoney pushed all in, having ari covered by almost $34,000, and ari called and showed Aclub Qspade for top pair, top kicker. However, sportsmoney flipped over pocket jacks for a flopped set and the lead. The turn was the Kheart, giving ari a straight draw with a 10, but the river was the 3heart to give sportsmoney the hand and eliminate ari in seventh place ($2,310).

Sportsmoney now had a good chip lead with almost $1.3 million in chips, versus PSP_addict in second with $546,000. Sportsmoney went on to eliminate the next four players in a row. In the final elimination hand before heads-up play, sportsmoney busted two players at once when he called the two short-stacked players' preflop all-ins and showed pocket kings. He was up against pocket fives and A-8 and his kings held up. Sportsmoney now had $2.6 million in chips and was heads up against PSP_addict with just $530,000. PSP_addict managed to get his stack up to as much as $1.2 million before it slid back down to under $1 million for the final hand.

Sportsmoney raised to $90,000 preflop and PSP_addict called the extra $60,000 from the big blind. The flop came 6club 4spade 2spade, and PSP_addict checked. Sportsmoney bet $140,000 and PSP_addict raised to $500,000. Sportsmoney pushed all in and PSP_addict called all in and showed 7club 6diamond for top pair. Sportsmoney turned over pocket eights for an overpair to the board and the lead. The turn was the Adiamond and the river the 3club and sportsmoney raked in the pot to eliminate PSP_addict in second ($9,800) and win the tournament. Sportsmoney pocketed $17,500 for his first-place finish.

The final standings were as follows:

1) sportsmoney - $17,500
2) PSP_addict - $9,800
3) Mujahid - $6,300
4) bigcatfish - $4,550
5) Stride - $3,710
6) DWare94 - $3,010
7) ari - $2,310
8) pga26 - $1,610
9) SgtNicks - $1,050

Bodog hosts two $70,000-guaranteed tournaments each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (today) at 8:30 p.m. EST, and both tournaments have been regularly spreading overlays, providing excellent value for players. Those interested in taking advantage of these overlay tournaments can do so by clicking here.
