Frank Vercillo of West Babylon, NY, who chose Ranier Kempe in first and Fedor Holz in second at the 2016 Super High Roller Bowl, won Poker Central’s $10,000 prize in its MVMT Million Dollar Final Table Challenge.
No contestant picked the exact order of the final table for the $1 million prize, but Vercillo was the top point earner. “I follow Poker Central on Facebook and saw the contest advertised and figured I’d take a shot,” he said. “I’m very glad I did.”
He said he will use his winnings to fund a road trip throughout the U.S., which will include his first trip to Las Vegas. “I’ve never been to Vegas before, and it’s something every poker player hopes to do,” he said.
Vercillo’s day job is in accounting, but he plans to open up his own brewery at some point.
