Poker rooms in Maryland won $2.67 million from players during the month of November, according to figures released this week by state gaming regulators.
Through the first 11 months of this year, the state’s three poker rooms raked $31.5 million, down from the $32.6 million in revenue from the same period in 2015.
Poker revenue was $2.77 million in November 2015. In October, poker revenue was $2.8 million, which was also down year-over-year.
Maryland Live led the way last month with $1.97 million, followed by Horseshoe Casino Baltimore ($630,000) and Hollywood Casino Perryville ($77,800).
Maryland Live and Horseshoe Baltimore have 52 and 25 poker tables, respectively. Hollywood’s poker room has eight tables. The state’s other two casinos don’t have poker rooms.
The state’s stagnant poker market will be aided by a 39-table poker room slated to open this week at MGM National Harbor. The $1.4 billion property will open its doors late Thursday.
