A day after former England rugby international Austin Healy admitted he had lost £15,000 playing poker online, Burnley soccer star Robbie Blake is reported to have dropped his shorts during a game against Coventry on Tuesday evening revealing the puzzling legend “Bad Beat Bob”.
The Daily Mirror revealed that Blake has earned the nickname “Bad Beat Bob” from fellow teammate Clarke Carlisle due to his regular ability to lose at poker despite having the best hand.
Meanwhile Strictly Come Dancing star Austin Healy, yesterday revealed he had spent a lot of time playing poker when his rugby career ended. He told the Daily Mail, “Since giving up rugby, I've been addicted to online poker, where I would sacrifice time with the kids to beat this guy at a poker table. When eventually I closed all my sites down, I was down about £15,000.”
He says he has now moved on to spread betting instead.
