Paul Wasicka Defeats Nicholas Joy
Mar 06, '09
Both Nicholas Joy and Paul Wasicka got it all in on a board reading Q-9-2. Wasicka showed Q-J but he was behind to Joy's Q-9 for two pair.
Joy was covered and looking to avoid a jack or a running high pair. The turn was a jack, however, and Wasicka took control of the hand. The river was a six and Wasicka advanced to play the winner of Don Cheadle and David Pham.
Joy, despite having the best hand with twice in the match, is eliminated from the tournament.
