The "Mad Genius" of poker is a highly regarded poker professional, and Doyle Brunson once called him "the finest draw player alive."
Mike Caro was born May 16, 1944, and bounded into the poker spotlight in 1978 when he contributed 50 statistical tables to Doyle Brunson's Super/System. In 1992, Caro brought the first world-class poker tournament to the East Coast, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, and called it the World Poker Finals. The tournament was the first to use his four-color deck and to bring corporate sponsorship to poker tournaments.
Caro isn't a regular on the tournament circuit these days, but does make the trip out to the WSOP each year.
