"And the roller coaster continues," Katz Eliminates Chan in 27th Place ($20,241)
Adam Katz, AKA Akat11, was sitting in the big blind when the short-stacked Feming Chan him pushed all in from the small blind. Katz looked down and saw 99 and made the call. The small blind turned over AK and Katz was shocked saying, "Wow, is this for real?" He said he didn't expect both short stacks at the table to both be in the blinds with actual hands.
The board ran 8747J, giving Katz the pot. After the chips were counted, it was learned that Katz had his opponent outchipped, so the player was eliminated. While stacking his new chips Katz said, "And the roller coaster continues."
The roller coaster ended before the round could, as Katz was later eliminated.
Broadway Sends Markovits Packing
A short-stacked Adam Markovits moved all in and was called by Sunny Chattha. Markovits' A4 was behind Chattha's AJ until the flop brought K4K to pair Markovits' 4. The turn card made things interesting, bringing the Q to give Chattha more outs. The river was the 10, completing Chattha's runner-runner straight to eliminate Markovits.
Sundbo Climbs, Eliminates McCabe
Sean McCabe's all in preflop raise was called by Sverre Sundbo, who held 99. McCabe had two overs, AJ. The board ran 107673 and McCabe was eliminated, while Sundbo moved up to around 700,000.
Lou Esposito Busts in 28th Place ($16,024)
Lou Esposito moved all in with pocket 10s and was called by Ryan D'Angelo, who held K-9. The flop brought a king and Esposito was eliminated from the tournament in twenty-eigth place.
