Ben Jones Makes Quads To Bust Bryan Piccioli In Third Place ($237,808)Jul 18, '18 Anthony Zinno raised on the button and was called by Ben Jones in the small blind. Bryan Piccioli then moved all in for 1,200,000 or so and Zinno folded. Jones instantly called, however, turning over 99. Piccioli needed help with A8, but the flop of K99 gave Jones quads and a lock on the hand. Drawing dead, Piccioli jokingly asked the dealer for an ace as he put out the inconsequential 82. Piccioli showed AK, which was racing against 1010. The board fell K5384 and Piccioli doubled up to nearly 2,500,000. Qi was left with just a couple big blinds. Monnette folded and Piccioli showed 88. Winzeler had KK, however, giving him an 80-percent chance of winning the pot. The board fell Q734A and Winzler doubled up to 25,000. Mefodichev was ahead before the flop with AK against Hughes’ AJ. The board came AJ10Q5, giving Hughes top two pair on the flop to take the lead, but Mefodichev turned a straight to win the pot and eliminate Ryan Hughes in 9th place ($55,093).
