Brett Faustman Bio
Brett Faustman has a career in commercial insurance sales, but he used to be a poker dealer. Faustman grew up in Michigan, where he was a top wrestler in college. Since college wrestling doesn't pay the bills (NCAA rules and all that), he made a living of sorts by winning money from the other players at poker.
He decided to take his shot at the poker big time and entered a $1,000 satellite at the Gold Strike for the 2008 World Poker Open to win his entry into his first World Poker Tour event. He successfully parlayed that $1,000 all the way to the televised final table, which he eventually won. He took home more than $892,000 for first.
