Poker and Horse Racing at the Irish Open with Betfair

Qualifiers Go Racing to End Irish Open Weekend in April

Betfair PokerBetfair is getting in on the upcoming Irish Open action by bringing every one of its online qualifiers (plus a guest) to a free VIP day at the races to watch the Irish Grand National on the Bank Holiday Monday of the poker-filled Easter weekend.

The only qualifiers left out of the day out will be any who make the final table.

Betfair spokesman, Richard Bloch said, “Usually players are flagging by the Monday of the Irish Open after some heavy nights enjoying Dublin’s famous hospitality so we thought a few glasses of champagne at the races would be a great way to get them through their hangovers and finish the weekend with a bang.”

Satellites for the festival are currently running on Betfair Poker and there will be two $510 buy-in final qualifiers with two packages guaranteed in each on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 8.30 pm (GMT), and Mar. 14.
