On Wednesday, the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) XVIII kicks off. The popular online tournament series started in August of 2006 with just eight events and a combined guaranteed prize pool of just over $1 million. This time around, Full Tilt has guaranteed over $19 million during the course of 34 events.

The series will conclude with a $600+$40 no-limit hold’em main event, which will boast a $3 million guarantee. Anyone who wins an event will not only get the first-place cash prize, but will also receive a jacket, a gold FTOPS jersey and a coveted gold jersey avatar for use on the site. The player who finishes atop the series leaderboard will not only win a custom avatar, but will also freeroll into every FTOPS XIX event (except the two-day event).

The usual slate of different games, variations and buy-ins will be included, but for the first time ever, Full Tilt has added draw games to the schedule. Now players can compete in five different draw poker games including 5-card draw, 2-7 triple draw, 2-7 single draw, A-5 triple draw and badugi.

Players can win their way into any of these events for as little as $3.30 using the steps tournaments. The tiered structure allows players to work their way up the ladder until they’ve earned their desired buy-in.

If you don’t have a Full Tilt account, but would like to play, click on the banner below for additional information.
