Sami KelopuroDespite not being able to offer games to the American market, PokerStars finished a successful 2011 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) on Tuesday. The series-ending $10,300 main event was won by Finland’s Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro, who has won and lost millions in the high-stakes online cash games. He outlasted a field of 380 players to take home $504,000 after a five-way deal at the final table. Kelopuro’s victory brought the 2011 SCOOP to a close after 16 days, 114 tournaments and more than $40 million in prize money dispersed.

The main event’s guaranteed prize pool— cut in half as a result of Black Friday (shrinking to $2.5 million) — was divided between 45 players, with the top five finishers all taking home at least $369,000. First place was set to receive $735,300 prior to the final-table deal.
