Viktor BlomViktor “Isildur1” Blom was in the midst of one of his infamous upswings this weekend, winning about $1.4 million in the span of 48 hours. True to his nature, Blom managed to drop about $500,000 of it back on Monday.

The Swedish cash game pro has put in some serious hours in at $100-$200 pot-limit Omaha, the highest stakes he has entertained on PokerStars. After the weekend was over Blom had managed to climb out of the red for the year and reach $1 million in profits, but sessions over the past 36 hours have seen his bankroll take another vicious turn.

Despite getting crushed by Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies late last week, Blom turned things around against his fellow Scandavian, taking him for the majority of his profits over the weekend in intense heads-up pot-limit Omaha action.

One of the biggest hands of their duel saw all Sahamies call Blom down with the KDiamond Suit 5Diamond Suit 7Spade Suit 3Club Suit on a 10Spade Suit 7Diamond Suit 6Club Suit 10Diamond Suit 8Spade Suit board. Blom wasn’t bluffing, as he tabled A-A-7-7 for the $235,000 win.

The massive upswing came at a good time for Blom, as before losing more than $400,000 to Sahamies this past Thursday, Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond had done nearly the same damage to the 20-year-old Swede last weekend. Galfond is up around seven figures since relocating to Canada.
