Ladbrokes has signed an agreement with Microgaming for the latter to provide software for the bookmaker’s online poker operations in the soon-to-be regulated Danish and Spanish poker markets.

The first hands are expected to be dealt in January 2012 when Ladbrokes gains its first licence in these markets.

Adam Greenblatt, director of corporate and strategic development with Ladbrokes said, “We have a strong relationship with Microgaming and our players have always reacted well to their products; we are pleased to be working with them as we target new licences in Spain and Denmark, markets familiar to Ladbrokes already."

While head of business development at Microgaming, Andy Clucas, said, “We have had a long and successful relationship with Ladbrokes and are delighted to be entering these two exciting markets with them. Once granted a licence Ladbrokes will be able to offer the most competitive range of products.”

Microgaming recently established an operator-led management board to assist with driving the network forward.
