Social Poker Live Developer Moblyng Shuts DownMoblyng Waves Goodbye But Still Holds Firm Belief In HTML5 Games |

Moblyng, a developer of cross-platform HTML5 games for mobile devices such as Social Poker Live, has closed down. According to games news site, Gamasutra, the company has stated that it did not monetize enough to stay in business. All 20 of its employees have been let go.
The company, which had received millions of dollars since opening in 2005, was one of the first to focus on HTML5 games instead of Flash, as these games can be played on both social networks and mobile devices.
Its belief in HTML5 over Flash saw it release apps such as Social Poker Live on the Facebook HTML5 mobile platform late last year. Although traffic had picked up, it was not enough to keep Moblyng in business, but despite the closure, CEO Stewart Putney’s belief in HTML5 remains.
