Poker players hoping to get their money back from Full Tilt Poker got some good news yesterday despite no official announcement from the site or its potential investors.
Firstly eagle eyed parties noticed a series of job offers for Pocket Kings on Irish recruitment website Jobs.ie.
The offers were mainly for multi-lingual customer service rolls and the job specification stated, “Pocket Kings is hiring and has an urgent requirement for a number of experienced Customer Service Team Leaders. With an attractive salary, these 2-3 month contract roles may become permanent and offer an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and energetic company.”
Elsewhere speculation rose over an application for a gaming license by Orinic, a Full Tilt Poker/Pocket Kings related company.
Orinic Limited (Orinic) was incorporated in Alderney in January 2011 when it also applied to AGCC for a licence in order to market Full Tilt Poker to Swiss-resident players.
In the recent report commissioned to investigate AGCC’s handling of the Full Tilt affair it was revealed that, “The tribunal… did not revoke Orinic’s suspended licence, but imposed a series of stringent conditions which had to be satisfied before Orinic could start trading.”
Interested parties have 14 days to object to the license application from March 23.
Whether either of these developments has any material significance will remain to be seen but both appear to be positive advancements in the current stalemate being experienced by frustrated poker players with money stuck on the site.
