Bet24, the online gaming operator sold to Unibet earlier this week for €13.5 million has said that it will be rebranded as part of the move.

This means Bet24 Poker, which had been building up a strong team of online poker pros in recent months, will be subsumed into Unibet Poker, moving from the Ongame network to Microgaming.

Bet24 said in a statement yesterday, “The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed by the end of the
second quarter of 2012.

“Unibet has confirmed that it intends to integrate the Bet24 business into its
existing operations by re-branding Bet24’s products and services and migrating Bet24’s customers to
its own platform.”

The move will come as a blow to U.S. gaming operator Shufflemaster which agreed to buy the Ongame network last month for €29.5 million ahead of expected online poker regulation in the U.S. over the coming years.
