It’s good news today for sports bettors and poker fans alike as Matchbook.com announces the launch of its new content hub aimed at all levels of sports bettors, MatchbookMedia.com, and is kicking things off World Series of Poker style with its exciting first pool.

The Matchbook Pools will give away a rake of cash every month, starting with the WSOP One Drop Pool which sees $5,000 in total ($1,000 for first) for the best handicapper of the $1 million Big One for One Drop event on Jul. 1. Those taking part must pick the side they think will last longer across 12 match-ups, which include Sam Trickett versus Tobias Reinkemeier and Guy Laliberte versus Andy Beal.

The $5,000 WSOP Survivor pool kicks off in time for the main event, where entrants can sweat their favorite poker players daily in the hopes they won’t bust as there can only be one MatchbookMedia.com WSOP Survivor.

The new content hub will feature all Team Matchbook’s news and videos, following the progress of team members Sam Trickett, Roberto Romanello, James Akenhead, Martins Adeniya, and JP Kelly. Content will also include the advice and opinions of bettors and writers Peter Nordsted, James Eastham, Anthony Leaver, Pauly Maguire, Jesse May, and Bryan Nicholson.

Finally, acting as an ambassador for Matchbook.com for the Euro 2012 is former Arsenal and England international football hero Ray Parlour, and he will be making picks and providing content with his blog.
