SOUTH
Choctaw Resort Casino
- The 2012 Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw (Jul. 26, ‘12 – Aug. 06, ’12) The Card Player Poker Tour’s exciting first stop gets underway this Thursday, July 26th at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, OK. The 22-event series is highlighted by the $1,080 pot-limit Omaha event that runs from August 2nd-3rd, and the $500,000 guaranteed-prize-pool $1,080 no-limit hold’em main event that begins on August 3rd and continues until a champion is crowned on August 6th, during Card Player’s live streaming broadcast of the final table. This week will see a number of great tournaments, including the $150,000 guaranteed-prize-pool $345 no-limit hold’em event that begins on July 28th.
- The 2012 World Poker Open (Jul. 19, ‘12 – Aug. 06, ’12) The Gold Strike Hotel Casino in Robinsonville, Mississippi recently began its 24-event World Poker Open series, and has a number of events going on this week including a $340 limit hold’em event that begins on the 24th, a $340 no-limit hold’em single re-entry event that kicks off on the 27th and a $230 ladies’ no-limit hold’em event starting on the 29th.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2012 WPT Legends of Poker (Jul. 28, ‘12 – Aug. 29, ’12) The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California is kicking off its 37-event Legend of Poker tournament series on Saturday, July 28th, with the events beginning this weekend including a $345 no-limit hold’em bounty event. The highlight of the series is undoubtedly the $3,700 World Poker Tour Legends of Poker main event, which kicks off on August 24th and crowns a new WPT champion on the 29th.
- The 2012 Larry Flynt’s Grand Slam of Poker (Jul. 14, ‘12 – Jul. 28, ’12) The Hustler Casino in Gardena, California is hosting a six-event tournament series that is continuing this week, highlighted by the $200 no-limit hold’em re-entry that begins on July 24th, with four consecutive starting days and a final day on August 28th.
MIDWEST
- The 2012 WPT Regional Mid Summer Classic (Jul. 29, ‘12) The Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is playing host to the World Poker Tour Regional Mid-Summer Classic, a $550 no-limit hold’em event.
NEVADA
- The 2012 Pot of Gold Summer Tournament (Jul. 19, ‘12 – Jul. 29, ’12) The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada is playing host to a 30-event series of tournaments which began last week. This week’s highlights include a $550 no-limit hold’em event that begin on the 26th and the $1,080 no-limit hold’em main event that begins on the 28th and continues until a champion is determined on the following day.
FLORIDA
- The 2012 Florida State Poker Championship (Jul. 08, ‘12 – Jul. 30, ’12) The Isle Casino in Pompano Beach, Florida is continuing it’s 29-event series, with a number of huge events including a $2,200 no-limit hold’em six-max re-entry event that begins on the 26th and the $5,300 no-limit hold’em main event that begins on July 27th and continues until a champion is determined on the 30th.
