Much like the days that preceded it, the third day of preliminary events at the inaugural Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw saw guarantees smashed, huge fields and sizable payouts in affordable-buy-in events.
Here is a look at the results from Saturday’s events:
Event 1 — $235 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry ($100,000 Guarantee)
The first event of the CPPT had a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, but with two starting days that each filled the tournament room to the brim, the final numbers far exceeded expectations. Ultimately, 936 entries built an $181,584 prize pool, nearly doubling the guarantee.

81 players made the money, and play ended with 53 players remaining to battle for the title and the $44,402 first-place prize.
Event 5 — $235 No-Limit Hold’em
Event 4 drew such a great turnout that the start of event 5 was delayed by an hour to ensure that enough tables in the sizable tournament room would be free. Eventually, 260 players posted the $235 buy-in to build a $49,400 prize pool.
