SOUTH
- The 2012 Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw (Jul. 26, ‘12 – Aug. 06, ’12) The Card Player Poker Tour’s exciting first continues at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, OK. The first week of the 22-event series saw a number of events blow away their guarantees, with the first event drawing 936 players for a $235 no-limit hold’em event and 779 turning out for the $345 no-limit hold’em event. The second week of the series is highlighted by the $1,080 pot-limit Omaha event that runs from August 2nd-3rd, and the $500,000 guaranteed-prize-pool $1,080 no-limit hold’em main event that begins on August 3rd and continues until a champion is crowned on August 6th, during Card Player’s live streaming broadcast of the final table.
- The 2012 World Poker Open (Jul. 19, ‘12 – Aug. 06, ’12) The Gold Strike Hotel Casino in Robinsonville, Mississippi is continuing into the final week of its 24-event World Poker Open series, with the highlight being the $3,150 no-limit hold’em main event that begins on August 3rd with the first of two starting days, and concludes with a winner on August sixth.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2012 WPT Legends of Poker (Jul. 28, ‘12 – Aug. 29, ’12) The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California continues its huge 37-event Legend of Poker tournament series on Saturday, July 28th, with the events beginning this weekend including a $345 no-limit hold’em bounty event. This week will play host to a number of great events, including a $235 H.O.R.S.E. event that begins on Aug. 1st and a $235 no-limit hold’em six-max event that kicks off on Aug. 2nd, but the undeniable highlight of the series will be the $3,700 World Poker Tour Legends of Poker main event, which kicks off on August 24th and crowns a new WPT champion on the 29th.
NORTHEAST
- The 2012 Parx Open Poker Classic (Aug 01, ‘12 – Aug 15, ’12) Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA is about to kick off its 9-event Parx Open Poker Classic on August 1st, with a number of great events taking place in the first week of action including a $340 no-limit hold’em re-entry event that begins on August 4th.
- The 2012 Mohegan Sun’s Summer Showdown (Aug 01, ‘12 – Aug 05, ’12) The Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT is packing an action-packed 15-event series into a handful of days this week, highlighted by the $1,100 no-limit hold’em event that kicks off on August 4th.
MIDWEST
- The 2012 Indiana State Poker Championship (Aug 02, ‘12 – Aug 08, ’12) The Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, IN is set to kick off its 7-event Indiana State Poker Championship starting on August 2nd with a $345 no-limit hold’em $150,000 guaranteed-prizepool event.
