Day 5 of the Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw saw three new winners determined, with a total of $52,904 in prize money awarded in the day’s events. Here is a look at Monday’s results:

Event 8 – $235 No-Limit Hold’em ($20,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool)

William AustinMarietta, Oklahoma’s William Austin emerged victorious in event 8, the $235 no-limit hold’em event. Austin earned the $9,139 first-place prize and the CPPT winner’s trophy for the win.

The event saw a solid turnout of 185 players, building a $35,890 prize pool that blew past the $20,000 guarantee.

Although the payout schedule called for seven players to make the money, the final eight came a deal and agreed to an ICM chop of the prize money. The title and CPPT trophy was awarded to the chipleader at the time of the chop, Soutchay Chansombath.
