Events 8 and 9 Determined Winners On Monday

Day 5 of the Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw saw three new winners determined, with a total of $52,904 in prize money awarded in the day’s events. Here is a look at Monday’s results:

Event 8 – $235 No-Limit Hold’em ($20,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool)

William Austin

Marietta, Oklahoma’s William Austin emerged victorious in event 8, the $235 no-limit hold’em event. Austin earned the $9,139 first-place prize and the CPPT winner’s trophy for the win.

The event saw a solid turnout of 185 players, building a $35,890 prize pool that blew past the $20,000 guarantee.

Soutchay Chansombath

62 players turned out for event 9, the $200 buy-in no-limit hold’em event, building a $10,224 prizepool. Although the payout schedule called for seven players to make the money, the final eight came a deal and agreed to an ICM chop of the prize money. The title and CPPT trophy was awarded to the chipleader at the time of the chop, Soutchay Chansombath.

The exact redistribution of the money was not reported, as the players had to sign for the official payouts, which went as such:
