Sam Trickett has been unveiled as the latest ambassador for the International Stadiums Poker Tour, the no-limit hold’em tournament that aims to be the world’s largest with 30,000 players.

Twenty-six-year-old Trickett, England’s all-time poker tournament money earner and recent runner up in the $1 million buy in One Drop poker tournament, said, “As a poker player, I have to be associated with such an enormous event. Being part of this tournament means being part of the history of poker.

The ISPT takes place at Wembley Stadium, London, England from May 31 to June 6, 2013.

It is a €600 buy in rebuy event with an approximate prize pool of €20 million. Players will initially play online with their laptops until around 3,000 are left. The tournament will then be played out live.

Earlier this month more details of the ISPT were announced including the procurement of a “confirmation of authority” letter from Brent Council.

The Amateur Poker Association and Tour has also signed on as a partner for the tour. The ISPT will sponsor three APAT events in October 2012, January 2013 and March 2013.
