The Fall Poker Round-up is right around the corner. The 9th annual Wildhorse Resort and Casino Fall Poker Round-up will take place November 8-18, 2012. With $50,000 in added prize money, the 10-day series is the biggest poker tournament in the Northwest.

As always, each day will be designated to a specific style of poker, however, the games offered have changed slightly from the past. No-Limit Hold’em will be played most prominently due to its popularity. Players 18 years and older are will also find, Limit Omaha Hi/Low 8, No-Limit Shoot Out, All In or Fold No-Limit Hold’em, H.O.R.S.E, Seniors Only event (50, or older), and Turbo No –Limit Hold’em.

The tournament will include live play on 28 tables, super satellites, and a daily free players-only buffet. Entry fees are $10 to $20 with buy-ins ranging from $100 to $500. Additionally there will be bonus chips from $1,000-$3,000 and a $9,000 bonus has been added to the all around championship where the top four players will qualify for the prize money.

Each year since 2003, the total prize money has always topped $1,000,000 and has brought thousands of people to Eastern Oregon. The average attendance for the bi-annual event is just shy of 4,500; or about 345 players per event which means great things for the local economy, hotels and restaurants.

Even though the main market for the Fall Poker Round-Up is the Pacific Northwest, players come to Wildhorse from as far away as Canada, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and quite a few states in between. Many highly accomplished poker pros have attended the events as well. Names like Tom McEvoy, Jan Fisher, Linda Johnson, Barbara Enright, Max Shapiro, Vince Burgio, Oklahoma Johnny Hale, and Howard “Tahoe” Andrew have been known to play in the event.
