Horseshoe Casino ClevelandAccording to the Associated Press, the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland has reported more than 2.6 million visitors to the property during its first six months in operation.

The Horseshoe Cleveland opened in May with 90 table games, 1,900 slot machines and a 30-table poker room. The casino has been so busy that the Ohio Casino Control Commission has approved a new surveillance layout to allow the property to add an additional 24 table games to the second floor.

A total of $7.7 million was made by table games in October, the highest mark since opening. The take represented almost 40 percent of the casino’s $20.8 million in revenue.

The Caesars Entertainment and Rock Ohio joint venture casino was the first of three Las Vegas-style properties to open in the state of Ohio in 2012. Two others, in Toledo and Columbus, have also opened and are reporting strong initial numbers. Ohio’s fourth casino in Cincinnati is scheduled to open next spring.
