Irish Poker Open Side Events Announced

Paddy Power Poker Increases Number Of Side Events From Seven To 10 Including "Mini Irish Open"

The Irish Poker Open 2013 side event schedule has been released by sponsor Paddy Power Poker and sees the number of tournaments grow from seven to 10.

New in the schedule are a €200 + €25 Irish Open Mini Main Event and a €500 + €60 sixhanded.pot-limit Omaha tournament.

Spokesman for the company, Paddy Power, explained the expansion: “We’ve continued to listen to the players and what the players want is poker. So on top of reducing the main event buy–in this year in we’ve increased the number of side events which will include a new Irish Open Mini Main Event.

“With a buy in of €225 we’re sure the Mini Main Event will appeal to a wide range of pockets and will hopefully attract a lot of more casual and recreational players down to the Burlington to experience the unique atmosphere one of Europe’s greatest poker festivals.”

Thursday March 28
Super Satellite for Irish Open Main Event — €150 + €20 @ 7p.m.

Friday March 29
Irish Open Main Event (Four Day Event) — €2000 + €250 @ 1 p.m.
Super Satellite for €800 NLH Event — €80 + €10 @ 7 p.m.
No-limit Hold’em Turbo — €300 + €35 @ 9 p.m.

Saturday March 30
Pot Limit Omaha (Sixhanded) — €500 + €60 @ 3 p.m.
No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout — €800 + €100 @ 4 p.m.
No-Limit Hold’em Turbo — €300 + €35 @ 9 p.m.

Sunday March 31
Irish Open ‘Mini Main Event’ (Two Day Event) — €200 + €25 @ 2 p.m.
No-Limit Hold’em Sixhanded — €500 + €60 @ 3 p.m.
No-limit Hold’em Turbo — €300 + €35 @ 9 p.m.

Monday April 1
No-limit Hold’em ‘Scalps’ – €125 + €25 + €20 @ 3 p.m.

The reduced €2,250 buy in Irish Open main event takes place from Friday March 29 to April 1, 2013 at the Burlington hotel, Dublin, Ireland.

Online satellites are underway with the next taking place tomorrow Sunday, December 16 at 8 p.m..
