Zynga Poker and PokerStars are preparing to go head-to-head in a battle for real money and social poker players as both unveil new websites

Zynga Poker, the long time leader in social poker on Facebook, is ramping up for the launch of Zynga Poker Plus in the UK in “early 2013” with the unveiling of a new website which gives some information on what players can expect when real money games are ready to go.

“Combine the exciting social Zynga poker fun you know and love with real money prizes and what do you get?," the site asks. "The all-new ZyngaPlusPoker! Connect with people that share your passion for online poker and challenge them to thrilling games where real cash prizes are plentiful!
”

“Zynga Plus Poker has a huge variety of games and stakes so that players at every level can find tables that are right for them and feel at home. Enjoy games like Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hi-lo, 7 Card Stud and more. Register to our thrilling tournaments or take a seat at our round-the-clock cash games for buy-ins as little as 25¢!"

Last year Zynga agreed to use bwin.party for its real money poker product in the UK.

Not to be outflanked by its soon-to-be rival, PokerStars has launched PokerStars.net on Facebook, Zynga’s traditional stomping ground, which allow users to buy chips, gold coins, play Zoom Poker and rack up ‘achievements’ but with no cash prizes.

The gaming world waits with bated breathe as these behemoths’ of online poker prepare to dual on each other’s turf over the next couple of months.
