Virginia Supreme Court Balks At Deciding Whether Poker Is A Game Of Skill

Matter Not Resolved After A Multi-Year Dispute

The Virginia Supreme Court decided last week not to rule on whether poker was a game of skill or one of chance, according to the Associated Press.

A poker game organizer had been threatened with prosecution for his charitable poker activity, which is considered illegal gambling, and the Virginia Supreme Court judge said that he couldn’t intervene in the matter since there was never a criminal charge.
