Las Vegas Pro Earns $13,080 for Fifth Career Title

Randy OhelEvent 2 – $550 Pot-Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better

A total of 87 players posted the $550 buy-in pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better tournament, building a $42,195 prize pool for the second event of the inaugural Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Las Vegas. Plenty of notables turned out for this event including Erick Lindgren, Eric Baldwin, Mark Gregorich and David Chicotsky, but in the end the last player standing was Randy Ohel. For the win Ohel earned $13,080 and 96 Card Player Player of the Year points.

Ohel was fresh off of a deep run in the WPT L.A. Poker Classic main event, where he finished 14th for $57,570. In 2012 he won his first gold bracelet in the World Series of Poker $2,500 deuce-to-seven triple draw lowball event for $145,247.

Kenna JamesEvent 3 – $300 No-Limit Hold’em

Event no. 3 at the CPPT Wynn Las Vegas, a $300 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament, drew a total of 200 entrants. After a full day of play only 11 players remain to battle it out for the title and first place prize of $12,309. All remaining players are in the money and guaranteed at least $945.

Plenty of recognizable names are still in the hunt, including chip leader Kenna James with 511,500 in chips, as well as Dan Martin, Young Phan and Brent Hanks. If he is able to outlast two players this will be Hanks’ second final table of the series after finishing seventh in event no. 1 for $10,384.
