Table Games With Live Dealers Debut In Maryland

Activity Comes After Voters Approved Plan In November

Maryland gamblers can finally play table games with live dealers. On Wednesday, Hollywood Casino in Perryville had permission to run games such as blackjack and poker.

In November, state voters approved a plan that authorized the new games, among other gambling expansion initiatives. Casinos in the state are also allowed to stay open 24/7.

Additionally, new casino construction was OK’ed in the Old Line State.

Maryland’s three casino took in $378 million during 2012.

A number of highly successful poker players hail from Maryland, and they can now engage in live casino cash games. Some of the names include recent World Series of Poker champion Greg Merson, Christian Harder, Dan Cates and Anthony Gregg.
