The Final Preliminary Events Wrap Up As Main Event Begins

Event 10 – $2,100 No-Limit Hold’em

A total of 161 players entered the $2,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em event at the Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Las Vegas, building a prize pool of $312,340. The event was slated to last two days, but late on the second day play was halted with six players remaining. The chip leader heading into the final six was non other than five-time WSOP bracelet winner Scotty Nguyen. Joining Nguyen at the final table were 1999 Card Player Player of the Year Tony Ma and bracelet winner Ryan Welch.

In the end Chad Wassmuth emerged victorious, taking home $67,154 and 312 Player of the Year points. Here is a look at the payouts and POY points awarded at this final table:

A 142 players entered in the final preliminary event of the CPPT Wynn, building a $68,870 prize pool. In the end Ray Qartomy was the last player standing, taking home $16,954 and 144 POY points after making a deal heads-up with Ben Palmer, who took home $13,695.
