It’s finally here!

The Card Player Poker Tour pulled into Reno, Nevada last week for the start of an 26-event series at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, all of which were leading up to the noon local time start of today’s $1,080 buy-in main event.

The $150,000 guaranteed championship, which features live reporting, will get underway on Mar. 22 with the first of two starting days. Play will continue until a champion is crowned on Mar. 25. This CPPT final table will have live video coverage right here on CardPlayer.com. Be sure to check out the action from this Player of the Year qualifying tournament.

Players start with 12,000 in chips (with an optional $20 staff bonus for 3,000 additional chips). Blinds begin at 50-100 and the field will play ten, 60-minute levels on day 1A/1B. There will be a 15-minute break every two levels. Those who are eliminated during on day 1A can re-enter as long as registration is still open (through the end of level 4), or on day 1B.

Satellites are running for those looking to enter for much cheaper than $1,080.

While the main event is the highlight of the series, plenty of other events are also on the schedule. Seven more events remain before the series ends on Mar. 25.
