The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California is set to host the Card Player Poker Tour tournament stop, which gets underway this week beginning on May 23rd and continues through June 5th. The series features nine great poker tournaments, as well as a number of satellites to the $300,000 guaranteed $1,100 CPPT no-limit hold’em main event.
But before the tournament action gets underway, the Bike is hosting a special Live At The Bike online broadcast of an exciting cash game on May 21, 2013, starting at 6:30 p.m. They have already confirmed a great line-up, including Harry Arabian, Josh Maciello, Barry Woods and actor James Woods. Expect it to be an amazing game. The special cash game event will be simulcast on CardPlayer.com and feature a $2,000 minimum, no-limit hold’em uncapped format with $25-$50 blinds and a $5 ante.
The main event tournament offers a unique structure with three starting days, $300,000 guaranteed with $100,000 going to the winner. Day 1a will start on May 24th at 1 p.m. with 30,000 starting tournament chips and 60 minute levels. Play will last 12 hours (plus 30-minute dinner break). Day 1b (May 25th) and day 1c (May 26th) will be identical to day 1a. Registration will close before level 5.
This tournament is a re-entry tournament. If any player is eliminated from day 1a, the player may re-enter day 1b or 1c. Any player eliminated day 1b, may re-enter day 1c.
If a player makes it through play from more than one day, they will play their largest chip stack. The other stacks will be removed from play.
Day 2 will be on Monday, May 27th at 1 p.m. and the field will play down to 36 players. Day 3 will resume on Tuesday May 28th at 1 p.m. when the field will play down to 9 or 6 players for the final table.
The final table will take place on Wednesday May 29th at 1pm streamed on www.liveatthebike.com and on the Card Player homepage. The winner will be featured in Card Player magazine.
Six $150 mega satellites will be running from Thursday, May 23rd through Saturday, May 25th at 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. for this exciting main event.
Each Mega Satellite guarantees three main event seats. Starting chip stacks for these satellites are 5,000 chips with 20-minute levels. For every eight players registered, one main event seat will be awarded.
