The Card Player Poker Tour will pull into the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma from July 18 to August 5, 2013, for its penultimate stop this season.
The festival will offer poker players a busy schedule of 54 events, daily guaranteed tournaments, and a total of $1.5 million in prize pool guarantees.
Highlights of the tournament include a $150,000 guaranteed $400 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament on July 26, a three starting day (July 19-21) $120 no-limit hold’em reentry event with a $100,000 guarantee, a $340 no-limit hold’em event July 18th with a $50,000 Guarantee, a $340 no-limit hold’em Seniors event July 28th with a $40,000 guarantee, a $120 no-limit hold’em Ladies event July 21st with a $30,000 guarantee and the $1,600 Card Player Poker Tour Main Event, which runs August 2nd-5th, and posts a $500,000 guarantee.
The final table of the $1,600 main event will be streamed live August 5 on CardPlayer.com. Mega satellites for the main event, with a $120 buy in, will run from July 29th – Aug. 1st.
The Choctaw Casino Resort is a casino and AAA Four Diamond hotel in Durant, Oklahoma, about one hour north of Dallas, Texas. Last year, the inaugural Card Player Poker Tour Choctow was a resounding success. The series payed out $1,841,411 in prize money in all of the tournaments held over the two-week span and drew 6,261 entries, surpassing expectations and each and every guarantee.
The main event was won by Maxx Dansky was on his way back home to Nashville, Tennessee when he decided to stop off for some poker at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma. After four days of battling it out in the $1,000 Card Player Poker Tour main event, the 25-year-old poker pro emerged victorious, taking home the $152,008 payday.
