Wynn Makes Last-Minute Pitch Ahead Of Casino VoteVoters In Boston-Area Town To Decide Soon On Proposal |

There’s just over a week until the residents of a town near Boston have a vote on whether Steve Wynn could build a casino in their area. In anticipation, Wynn unveiled a 3-D model of what the proposed casino will look like, according to the Boston Globe. The property is pictured above.
Wynn, owner of properties around the world including those on the Las Vegas Strip, is eying the Boston area in order to boost the company’s profits. The state legalized casinos in 2011, and it has been a slow process of deciding who will win the three bids.
The plot of land Wynn wants to build on is a former Monsanto Chemical site.
According to the Boston Globe, Wynn wants to build a five-star hotel with 551 rooms and an 18,000-square-foot ballroom. The casino would have a 100,000-square-foot gaming floor. The property would also have, of course, a spa, nightclub, restaurants and shops.
The property would cost $1.2 billion, as planned right now.
Everett has a population of about 42,000, but it would be ideal because of its close proximity to one of the most heavily populated and visited metro areas in the country.
