Ultimate Poker's Summer Series starts SundayUltimate Poker launched on April 30 as Nevada’s first licensed and regulated online poker room. It then spent the next two and a half months following a trial period of strict guidelines laid down by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

If the Nevada Gaming Control Board deems the required reports from Ultimate Poker acceptable, then the real-money field trial will be over.

“The Nevada Gaming Control Board has set regulatory requirements for online poker at the highest level,” Ultimate Gaming Chief Executive Officer Tobin Prior said in a press release. “We are thrilled that our product is the first to not only meet these standards, but exceed them. Ultimate Poker gives online poker fans the game they love in an environment they can trust.”

On July 14th at 7:35 p.m. the poker site will kick off the Summer Series of Poker main event, their biggest tournament yet. The buy-in will be $200 and the winner is guaranteed a minimum of $10,000.

“The turn out for Summer Series has been incredible thus far so we figured what the hell, let’s see how big we can go,” Ultimate Gaming Chief Marketing Officer Joe Versaci said.
