The Venetian Poker RoomDay 1A of the 2013 Card Player Poker Tour Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III drew a field of 93 and after seven levels of play, only 44 survived to Monday’s day 2 field.

After seven levels of play only 44 players remained. Leading the way is Daniele Cocchi with 163,725. Cocchi earned most of his chips from Sebastian Langrock in a brutal bad beat. Langrock held top set on a J-4-2 board and was well ahead of Cocchi’s set of fours, but the turn brought the case four, sending Langrock to the rail and boosting Cocchi above the six-figure mark.

Other notables near the top of the leader board included David Sands (133,350) and Brandon Myers (111,225).
