Card Player Poker Tour Choctaw Main Event Begins Friday At Noon In Durant, Oklahoma

The Card Player Poker Tour is in Durant, Oklahoma at the Choctaw Casino Resort for a 54-event series, the culmination of which is the main event starting Friday, August 2.

The $1,620 no-limit hold’em main event will feature a $500,000 guarantee.

There will be two starting days and players can re-enter if they are eliminated prior to the end of registration. Satellites are available with buy-ins as little as $65, all the way up to $230.

Here is a look at the schedule for the event:

Day 1A — Aug 02 — 12:00 PM
Day 1B — Aug 03 — 12:00 PM
Day 2 — Aug 04 — 12:00 PM
Final Day — Aug 05 — 12:00 PM

In August 2012, Maxx Dansky was on his way back home to Nashville, Tennessee when he decided to stop off for some poker at Choctaw. After four days of battling it out in the $1,000 CPPT main event, the 25-year-old poker pro emerged victorious, taking home $152,008.

The Choctaw Casino Resort has over 4,000 machines along with an assortment of table games and an exclusive poker room. It is the closest casino resort to North Dallas.

The Choctaw Grand Tower has 330 AAA Four Diamond rooms and an additional 160 well-appointed rooms in the Choctaw Inn and Lodge. The poker room, one of the best in the region, is located on its own floor with 30 tables, private staff and services.
