- The 2013 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (Aug 08, ‘13 – Aug 29, ’13) The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, FL continues with it’s 33-event series, with this week’s highlights include a four-day $1,000,000 guaranteed $560 no-limit hold’em event that begins with the first of 6 starting flights on August 15th at 11:00 AM, while the second flight gets underway at 7:00 PM and the same start times hold true for the following two days. There will also be a $2,200 no-limit hold’em tournament that kicks off on Aug. 18th at noon. The main attraction of the entire festival is undeniably the $10,000,000 guaranteed prizepool $5,300 no-limit hold’em championship event, which gets underway on August 22nd.
NORTHEAST
- The 2013 Parx Casino Big Stax III (Aug 01, ‘13 – Aug 19, ’13) The Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA continues with it’s 10-event series of tournaments this week, with the highlight being the $250,000 guaranteed $1,080 no-limit hold’em main event which gets underway with the first of three starting days on August 15th at 11:00 AM.
- The 2013 WSOP Circuit Foxwoods (Aug 08, ‘13 – Aug 19, ’13) The Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT again plays host to the World Series of Poker Circuit for the first stop of the tour’s new season. This week’s highlight is the $1,675 no-limit hold’em WSOP Circuit no-limit hold’em main event which starts on August 17th at 11:00 AM, with a second flight at 5:00 PM. Play continues until a champion is decided on Aug. 19th.
- The 2013 Pittsburg Poker Open (Aug 08, ‘13 – Aug 19, ’13) The Rivers Casino in Pittsburg, PA with a 29-event series of it’s own, the 2013 Pittsburg Poker Open. This week will see the series’ $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event get underway on August 17th at noon.
- The 2013 Sands DeepStack Extravaganza (Aug 16, ’13 – Aug 26, ’13) The Sands Bethlehem in Pennsylvania is hosting a 10-event series that gets underway later this week. The early highlight is the two-day $400 buy-in black-chip bounty event that begins on Aug. 17th at 11:00 AM.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2013 WPT Legends of Poker (Jul 28, ‘13 – Sep 04, ’13) The World Poker Tour has also returned to the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, CA for it’s 30-event Legends of Poker series. The highlight this week is a five-day $200,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em event that kicks off on Aug. 16th at 4:00 PM. The survivors of the four starting flights will combine to play to a winner on Aug. 20th.
- The 2013 Bay 101 Open (Aug 12, ‘13 – Aug 19, ’13) The Bay 101 in San Jose, CA is hosting a seven-event series beginning early this week, with the $1,080 no-limit hold’em championship event getting underway on August 17th at 9:30 AM.
SOUTH
- The 2013 River Poker Series (Aug 14, ‘13 – Sep 01, ’13) The WinStar Casinos in Thackerville, OK is once again hosting it’s popular River Poker Series starting on August 14th, with the four-day, $340 buy-in kickoff re-entry no-limit hold’em event which features a $300,000 guarantee. The 10-event series features a total of $4 million in guarantees.
MIDWEST
- The 2013 Heartland Poker Tour Indiana (Aug 09, ‘13 – Aug 19, ’13) The Majestic Star Casino in Gary, IN keeps rolling with it’s 9-event series in conjunction with the Heartland Poker Tour this week, with the first of three starting flights in the $1,650 no-limit hold’em main event getting started on August 16th at 6:00 PM.
INTERNATIONAL
- The "2013 WPT Merit Cyprus Classic ":http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tournaments/4226-2013-merit-cyprus-classic-wpt (Aug 14, ‘13 – Aug 26, ’13) The Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino hosts the first event of the new season of the World Poker Tour as part of it’s 35-event series. The six-day $4,400 WPT no-limit hold’em main event gets underway on August 16th at 1:00 PM.
- The 2013 APT Korea (Aug 18, ‘13 – Aug 23, ’13) The Asian Poker Tour pulls into the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Jeju, Korea for a 10-event series starting late this week, with a $5,000 no-limit hold’em high roller event getting underway on Aug. 18th at 2:00 PM local time.
