The Garden City Group, the claims administrator for the Full Tilt Poker money, released an update Friday on its website, FullTiltPokerClaims.com.

The firm stated:

Starting on September 16, 2013, GCG will email a Notice with instructions on how to submit a Petition for Remission online to all potentially eligible claimants identified by GCG utilizing data supplied by Full Tilt Poker (“FTP”). The deadline to submit a Petition for Remission is November 15, 2013. Instructions concerning the filing of Petitions will be included in the Notice and will be posted on this website. Please continue to check this website for updates. Please note that the registration process for email notification is no longer available.

Earlier this month there was good news for poker players as it was announced that account balances, rather than the amount deposited over the years, would be what players eventually receive in remission. There was fear that winning players would be penalized.

Full Tilt Poker, under previous ownership, shut down in American cyberspace in April 2011, as part of the federal case unveiled on what has become known as Black Friday. The site closed its doors completely in the summer of 2011, and it was later called a Ponzi scheme.

A total of about $159 million is owed to up to 1.3 million former players.
