Hawthorn Suites West Palm Beach offers complimentary shuttles to and from the airport, Palm Beach Kennel Club and any location within a five-mile radius from 7 am to 11 pm. The hotel also offers guests a complimentary breakfast buffet, a fitness room and business center.
The tournament series will be highlighted by the $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event to be held Dec. 13-16 and will begin with a $345 no-limit hold’em $100,000 guarantee tournament on Dec. 5. The stop will conclude with a $125 no-limit hold’em with bounties tournament Dec. 15. Satellites to the main event will also be offered with buy-ins ranging from $65 to $220.
The Palm Beach Kennel Club will also offer players additional incentives in the form of a Player of the Series leaderboard. The top ten players will split $26,000 upon the completion of the series with $10,000 going to the first place finisher.
Points will be awarded based on an algorithm that factors in buy-in and field size for all players who play in any of the nine CPPT tournaments and satellites. The second place finisher will receive $5,000, $3,000 will go to the third place finisher and the fourth place player will take home $2,000. The fifth through tenth place players will each receive $1,000.
One percent of the total prizepool from each tournament will be held as a contribution to the Player of the Series. All players will receive points for playing in any event and players who finish in the top 10 percent of the field will receive additional points based on final position.
Palm Beach Kennel Club will be the second stop on Season II of the CPPT, which kicked off in August of 2013 at bestbet in Jacksonville, Florida. The tour will then stop at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada. The tour will return to Florida in May of 2014 for a second stop at bestbet.
The Poker Room at Palm Beach Kennel Club is one of the largest in the State of Florida.
