The World Series of Poker is celebrating the launch of their real money site by hosting the WSOP Online Championships this October, with $500,000 in added prize money.
The nine-event series kicks off Oct. 25 with a $100,000 freeroll and wraps up Nov. 2 with the $200+$15 buy-in main event. The tournament schedule also features two rebuy tournaments and buy-ins from as little as $25+$2.50.
Additionally, the nine winners of these events will make up the Online Nine, which will compete in a special $100,000 online sit-n-go freeroll on Nov. 4. The final two players will stop before heads-up play and resume action at the final table of WSOP main event at the Penn and Teller Theater in Las Vegas. The winner will earn $50,000, the runner-up will earn $30,000 and the third-place finisher will take home $20,000.
