In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. FLORIDA
- The 2013 bestbet Jacksonville Fall Poker Scramble WPT (Nov 01, ‘13 – Nov 19, ’13) The bestbet Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida continues with it’s 20-event World Poker Tour Fall Poker Scramble tournament series this week, with the highlight being the $500,000 guaranteed World Poker Tour $3,500 no-limit hold’em main event that begins with the first of two starting days on Friday, Nov. 15th at noon. Play continues until a champion is decided on Nov. 19th.
- The 2013 WPT Regional Florida Rock ’n Roll Poker Open (Nov 13, ‘13 – Dec 02, ’13) The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida hosts a 20-event tournament series as part of the WPT Regional tour beginning this week. The early highlight is a $150,000 guaranteed $125 no-limit hold’em event with eight starting flights spread from Nov. 13 – 16, with two flights each day beginning at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2013 L.A. Poker Open (Nov 06, ‘13 – Nov 25, ’13) The Commerce Casino just outside of Los Angeles, California continues with it’s 20-event L.A. Poker Open series this week, with the highlight being a $200,000 guaranteed $150 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. There are six starting flights available, with 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM starting times on Nov. 14th – 16th. Surviving players from these flights will combine on Nov. 17th to play down to a champion.
- The 2013 Veteran’s Day Tournament (Nov 11, ‘13) In honor of those Veterans who served America the Ocean’s Eleven Casino in Oceanside, California is hosting a $225 no-limit hold’em event on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11th, beginning at 10:00 AM.
SOUTH
- The 2013 WSOP Circuit Bossier City (Nov 07, ‘13 – Nov 18, ’13) The World Series of Poker Circuit cruised into Bossier City, Louisiana last week with another 12-gold-ring-event schedule. This week will see the $1,675 no-limit hold’em main event kick off with the first of two starting days beginning at noon on Nov. 15th.
NEVADA
- The 2013 Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza IV (Oct 31, ‘13 – Nov 27, ’13) The Venetian Las Vegas continues with it’s 62-event tournament series this week, with the highlight of the coming days being a $1,100 no-limit hold’em tournament that features a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and two starting days beginning at noon on Nov. 15th and 16th.
- The 2013 Heartland Poker Tour Nevada (Nov 07, ‘13 – Nov 18, ’13) The Stratosphere Casino in Las Vegas moves into the final stretch of it’s seven-event Heartland Poker Tour series this week, with the highlight being the $1,650 no-limit hold’em main event that kicks off with the first of three starting flights on Nov. 15th at 4:00 PM. The following day will see the second flight begin at 9:00 AM and the third and final kick off at 4:00 PM.
- The 2013 Poker Night in America (Nov 15, ‘13 – Nov 25, ’13) The Peppermill Hotel Casino in Reno, NV will host a 12-event tournament series beginning this weekend, with the kickoff event being a $15,000 guaranteed $220 no-limit hold’em event beginning on Nov. 17th at noon. Next week the $200,000 guaranteed main event, part of Poker Night In America’s series of events, gets underway on Nov. 22nd.
NORTHWEST
- The 2013 Poker Round Up (Nov 07, ‘13 – Nov 17, ’13) The Wildhorse Resort Casino in Pendleton, OR continues this week with it’s 13-event tournament series, with this week’s highlight being the $520 no-limit hold’em main event which begins at noon on Nov. 16th.
MIDWEST
- The 2013 Hollywood Poker Open (Nov 15, ‘13 – Nov 24, ’13) The Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg, IN launches into a 25-event tournament series beginning this week, kicking off with a $345 no-limit hold’em event that features three starting flights. The first gets underway at 5:00 PM on Nov. 15th, the second at 11:00 AM on the 16th and the final at 7:00 PM later on that day.
INTERNATIONAL
- The 2013 Punta Cana Poker Classic (Nov 11, ‘13 – Nov 16, ’13) The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, on the Eastern coast of the Dominican Republic is set to host a 10-event series of poker tournaments from Nov. 11th – 17th. The highlight of the entire series is the $500,000 guaranteed $1,500 + $150 no-limit hold’em main event which begins with the first of two starting days on Nov. 12th at 2:00 PM local time.
- The 2013 WPT Caribbean (Nov 15, ’13 – Nov 24, ’13) The Casino Royale in St. Maarten is hosting the World Poker tour this week, with the early highlight being a $7,000 no-limti hold;em high roller event beginning non Nov. 17th at 9:00 PM.
