In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. INTERNATIONAL
- The 2013 WPT Caribbean (Nov 15, ‘13 – Nov 24, ’13) The Casino Royale in St. Maarten is hosting the World Poker Tour this week, continuing with second half of it’s 32-event WPT Caribbean tournament series this week. The highlight of the whole affair is the $3,500 no-limit hold’em WPT main event which begins with the first of two starting days on Tuesday, Nov. 19th at 4:00 PM. Play will continue until a champion is decided at the final table on Sunday, Nov. 24th.
- The 2013 ANZPT Auckland (Nov 20, ‘13 – Nov 24, ’13
) The Skycity Casino in Auckland, New Zealand is hosting the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour this week, with the highlight being the $2,200no-limit hold’em main event which begins with the first of three starting days on Nov. 20th at 12:30 PM.
- The 2013 LAPT Uruguay (Nov 20, ‘13 – Nov 24, ’13) The Mantra Resort Spa Casino in Punta del Este, Uruguay kicks off this week, with the centerpiece if the 8-event series being the $2,500 no-limit hold’em main event which begins on Nov. 21st at noon.
NORTHEAST
- The 2013 Deepstacks Poker Tour Mohegan Sun World Championship (Nov 18, ‘13 – Nov 25, ’13) The Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut hosts a four-event series of tournaments, with the $500,000 guaranteed $2,500 no-limit hold’em main event beginning with the first of two starting days at 11:00 AM on Nov. 22nd.
- The 2013 Seneca Fall Poker Classic (Nov 18, ‘13 – Nov 25, ’13) The Seneca Niagra Casino and Hotel in Niagra Falls, New York hosts a 14-event tournament series this week, with the $1,500 no-limit hold’em main event beginning on Nov. 23rd at 11:00 AM.
- The 2013 Pittsburgh Poker Open Winter Series (Nov 21, ‘13 – Dec 02, ’13) The Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has a 28-event tournament series kicking off this week, with the biggest of the early event’s being a $20,000 guaranteed $550 no-limit hold’em event.
FLORIDA
- The 2013 WPT Regional Florida Rock ’n Roll Poker Open (Nov 13, ‘13 – Dec 02, ’13) The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida hosts a 20-event tournament series as part of the WPT Regional tour continuing this week, with the upcoming highlight being the $250,000 guaranteed, $350 buy-in no-limit hold’em event which features five starting flights between Nov. 21 – 23, starting at 7:00 PM and 11:00 AM.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2013 L.A. Poker Open (Nov 06, ‘13 – Nov 25, ’13) The Commerce Casino just outside of Los Angeles, California moves into the final stages of it’s 20-event L.A. Poker Open, with the highlight being the $500,000 guaranteed $1,650 no-limit hold’em main event which begins with the first of two starting days at 2:00 PM on Nov. 22nd.
- The 2013 Larry Flynt’s Holiday Poker Classic (Nov 24, ’13 – Dec 29, ’13) There is a 11-event series kicking off at the end of the week at the Hustler Casino in Gardena, with the first event being a $100,000 guaranteed $120 buy-in that begins with the first of five starting flights at 12:30 on Nov. 24th.
- The 2013 Turkey Shoot (Nov 22, ‘13) On Nov. 22nd the Ocean’s Eleven Casino in Oceanside, California will host a $60 no-limit hold’em tournament with $25 bounties.
NEVADA
- The 2013 Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza IV (Oct 31, ‘13 – Nov 27, ’13) The Venetian Las Vegas continues with it’s 62-event tournament series this week, with the highlight of the coming days being the marquee $2,500 no-limit hold’em main event which features a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. The event has two starting days, each beginning at noon on Nov. 23rd and 24th. Play continues until a champion is decided on Nov. 26th.
- The 2013 Poker Night in America (Nov 15, ‘13 – Nov 25, ’13) The Peppermill Hotel Casino in Reno, NV continues with it’s 12-event tournament series as part of Poker Night In America. The $200,000 guaranteed $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event gets underway on Nov. 22nd with the first of two starting days, each beginning at noon.
MIDWEST
- The 2013 Hollywood Poker Open (Nov 15, ‘13 – Nov 24, ’13) The Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg, IN moves into the second half of it’s 25-event tournament series with the highlight being the $675 no-limit hold’em main event which begins at 1:00 PM on Nov. 23rd.
