$10,300 No-Limit Hold'em Event Sure To Draw Tough and Exciting Field

The 2013 World Poker Tour Five Diamond World Poker Classic $10,300 no-limit hold’em main event gets underway at noon on Friday, December 6th at the luxurious Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. The unlimited re-entry event will span six days, with registration remaining open until the end of the eighth level at approximately 4:30 PM on Saturday, Dec. 7th. The final table will take place on Dec. 11th and will be recorded for television broadcast. Players receive 30,000 in chips with starting blinds of 50-100 (300 big blinds). Day 1 will see the players do battle for five 90-minute levels.

2012 Champion Ravi RaghavanThis event is one of Bellagio’s most popular tournaments, and has been an integral part of the WPT’s yearly schedule for a decade now. It boasts an impressive list of prior champions that reads like a who’s who of tournament poker, including Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Joe Hachem, Eugene Katchalov, Daniel Alaei and Antonio Esfandiari.

In 2012 Ravi Raghavan topped a field of 503 entrants to win his first WPT title and the $1,268,571 first-place prize.

For players who bust out of this year’s main event and are still craving high stakes action there is a $100,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em high roller kicking off at 1:00 PM on Dec. 8th and a $10,300 open-face Chinese poker event beginning at 1:00 PM on Dec. 10th.
