In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. INTERNATIONAL
- The 2013 EPT Prague / Eureka Prague (Dec 08, ‘13 – Dec 18, ’13) The European Poker Tour and it’s smaller sibling the Eureka Poker Tour pulled into the Hilton Prague Hotel in the Czech Republic starting last weekend. The highlight of the upcoming days is the €5,300 EPT Prague no-limit hold’em main event that kicks off with the first of two starting days on Dec. 12th at noon.
- The 2013 WPT South Korea (Dec 15, ‘13 – Dec 19, ’13) The Club Phoenix Ramada Hotel Jeju in Korea is set to host the first World Poker Tour event in South Korea, with the $3,000 no-limit hold’em main event beginning on Dec. 15th at 2:00 PM local time.
NEVADA
- The 2013 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic (Nov 29, ‘13 – Dec 11, ’13) The Bellagio Hotel Casino’s annual winter tournament series, the Five Diamond World Poker Tour Classic, continues with a number of big events this week. Registration is closed in the $10,300 no-limit hold’em main event, but there is still plenty of big action including the $10,300 open-face Chinese poker that begins on Dec. 10th at 1:00 PM.
- The 2013 Pot of Gold Poker Winter Tournament (Dec 05, ‘13 – Dec 15, ’13) A 29-event winter tournament series continues into it’s second week at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The upcoming highlight will be the $340 no-limit hold’em bounty event that begins at noon on Dec. 14th.
FLORIDA
- The Card Player Poker Tour Season II – Palm Beach Kennel Club (Dec 05, ‘13 – Dec 15, ’13) The Card Player Poker Tour’s final stop of 2013 is underway at the Palm Beach Kennel Club, with it’s exciting 14-event schedule continuing this week. The highlight of the whole affair of course is the $250,000 guaranteed Card Player Poker Tour $1,120 no-limit hold’em main event which begins with the first of two starting days on Dec. 13th at noon.
CALIFORNIA
- The 2013 WSOP Circuit Rincon (Dec 05, ‘13 – Dec 16, ’13) The Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort in Valley Center, California is hosting the WSOP Circuit for a 12-gold-ring tournament series, with the highlight this week being the WSOP-C $1,675 no-limit hold’em main event that gets underway at noon on Dec. 13th.
- The 2013 Gardens Poker Classic (Dec 06, ’13 – Dec 15, ’13) The 8-event Gardens Poker Classic began last week at the Hawaiian Gardens Casino in Southern Los Angeles. The highlight of the coming days is the $300,000 guaranteed $150 buy-in which began on Dec. 7th. There are still six starting flights available to play, with a listing of them available here.
