Vandeven and Miles Remain at Top of Card Player Poker Tour LeaderboardJohn McNulty is a Close Third for Money Won on the Season |

Harvey Vandeven and Timothy Miles still top the Card Player Poker Tour Season II leaderboard but 25-year old Jacksonville, Florida poker pro John McNulty is at the door with a chance to take over now that the second stop of the season has been completed.
Vandeven and Miles chopped for even money for $76,598 a piece in the bestbet Jacksonville $1,500 no-limit hold’em $300,000 guarantee main event in August 2013 to start Season II.
McNulty picked up the championship title and upwards of $68,000 when he won the Palm Beach Kennel Club $1,100 no-limit hold’em $150,000 guarantee main event in December. McNulty picked up two additional cashes at the Kennel Club, adding to his single cash from the Jacksonville stop to take the third spot on the leaderboard with a total of $74,363 in CPPT winnings on the season. Four cashes also put McNulty in a three-way tie for most cashes on the season with Ravindra Madala and Mitchell Smith.
With a second stop coming up in Jacksonville, marking three stops in the state of Florida, McNulty will have a shot at overtaking Miles and Vandeven on the season as he is a little more than $2,000 below them on the leadeboard. However, both Vandeven and Miles will also have the opportunity to add to their scores when the bestbet tournament series begins May 1.
Rick Swain, the third place main event finisher from bestbet was knocked out of that spot by Luke Brereton, who finished second to McNulty for $42,142 at Palm Beach Kennel Club. Third place finisher Evan Teitelbaum took the sixth spot and Jerry Willis, who won the Kennel Club’s event no. 1, $345 no-limit hold’em $100,000 guarantee and cashed for an additional $260 in event no. 9 moved into the eighth spot. Fourth place main event finisher Sean Winter slid into the top ten with a $22,560 cash.
When it comes to cashes on the season, two is no longer good enough to make the leaderboards. After the first stop Moses Clepper and Pablo Ortiz topped with three cashes each but are now joined by Andrew Dakoski, Shawn Sorgi, Noy Elimeleh, Barry Gallaher and Vincent Imbriani, who each picked up three cashes at Palm Beach Kennel Club.
Dakowski and McNulty also top the leaderboard for most final tables on the season with three each.
Allyn Jaffrey Shulman remains the all-time money earner with $303,309 over two seasons, but with seven stops left to go on the year, anything can happen.
The CPPT will next stop at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut Feb. 8-17 and then Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada March 21-30. The tour will then cross international waters to hit the Paddy Power Poker Irish Open in Dublin, Ireland April 18-21 before returning to bestbet Jacksonville May 1-12. Season II will wind down at Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma July 17-Aug. 4, followed by a Caribbean Cruise Sept. 7-14 and finish off at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles Sept. 20-October 14.
